Ed Wenger longrifles and fowlers are hand crafted, historically correct flintlocks that are painstakingly created to bring generations of enjoyment.
Mr. Wenger also accepts commission work for those interested. If you are interested in having VA Flintlocks build a piece for you, please contact them via email or phone. We’ll need to know, with as much detail as possible, what you have in mind relative to type of flintlock, specific school, barrel length preferences, caliber, patch box, engraving and carving desires, etc. The cost of the components necessary to build the piece will constitute a down payment. You may purchase them, or allow VA Flintlocks to purchase the components for you. Upon completion of the flintlock, the buyer pays the balance outstanding on the agreed upon price. Once we receive the final payment, your flintlock will be shipped to you. The shipping fee is included in the cost of the piece.
Flintlock Photo Documentation
For those wishing the service, we will chronicle the creation of your flintlock with digital photos taken throughout the build and send them to you during the process. This is done at no cost.
Payment and Guarantee
There is a ten-day inspection period where the purchaser, if not satisfied with the flintlock, may return the piece in the condition it was first shipped for a full refund.
All return shipping is paid for by the buyer.
Payment may be made by cash, cashier’s check, personal check (needs to clear bank first), or money order.
A 5% sales tax will apply to all flintlocks delivered to a Virginia address. Taxes may also apply to neighboring states.
